Manual therapies have a global effect on the organism, allowing the body’s own natural healing process. They are based on the manipulation of body parts such as the musculoskeletal system, bones, muscles, articulations and the circulatory and lymphatic systems, that help regulating the organism.
Such therapies include reflexology, craniosacral therapy, osteopathy and Shiatsu. Numerous scientific studies have proved their beneficial effects in the patient recovery.
Keng Rak is an evolution of classical Shiatsu. Traditionally, Shiatsu has used the 14 meridians and the Shu points located at the person’s back. Keng Rak's system uses the classical meridians plus the 15 Rak meridians (horizontal) and the 365 vessels (nadis). It is a therapeutic massage therapy
Osteopathy is manual medicine based on two fundamental ideas: on the one hand, it holds that human beings are a single whole in which body, mind and spirit are an indissoluble unit. On the other hand, it views all bodily systems as being related to one another. Therefore disorders suffered by one of them always affect the proper working of the rest of them.
It is a therapy based on the principle that all organs, viscera and the backbone are reflected on the soles of the feet and palms of the hands.
The principles of Shiatsu are the same as those of acupuncture as it is also based on traditional Chinese medicine. The basic difference is that instead of needles, only hands are used for pressure.
Metamorphic technique is based on reflexology. It works by stimulating the spinal reflex points on your feet, hands and head.
It is a technique developed from osteopathy that focuses on the cranium, spinal column and pelvis and very subtly uses fasciculations on the muscle chains to achieve structural balance.
